The Wire is excellent! Particularly the fourth season. I was excited that you got a chance to watch the 4th season and hear your thoughts on it.
Also, the Amoeba Records on Sunset was a hotspot of mine back in the day. I've been to the one on Telegraph since I've moved back to the Bay Area, but only once.
